Taya is a qualified chef who studied at Wandee Culinary Arts School, a prominent Thai culinary college in Bangkok. With cooking experience covering Thailand, Melbourne, and My Thai Restaurant in Brisbane. In 2010 My Thai Kitchen the cosy Thai eatery in Milton was created.  Over the past 4 years Taya has built her own outstanding culinary cooking school in Enoggera. With over 25 years of cooking experience and several businesses under her chef’s hat, she enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience here in these cooking classes as well as in event catering and at big food festivals throughout Brisbane.

Taya has enjoyed demonstrating her Thai cooking knowledge and skills on the main stage in the past 5 years at the Brisbane’s Thai Festival Southbank, and Roma Street Parklands as well at Brisbane’s Fine Foods Festival. You will find Chef Taya creating videos for her YouTube Channel, catering for 40 people on weekends and hunting down unexplored recipes and flavoursome Asian ingredients.

Working closely with her mum Busara in the kitchen at My Thai Restaurant since 1992, as well as studying at a prominent Thai culinary college in Bangkok and completing her specialty courses at Wandee Culinary School, Taya honed her natural enthusiasm and cooking instincts to become a qualified, skilled and experienced chef.

Cooking in Thailand, Melbourne and now Brisbane, she opened up her very own mouth-watering venture My Thai Kitchen in 2010-2015. My Thai Kitchen offers healthy home-style take away meals, intimate hands on cooking classes and quality Thai groceries.

As her cooking classes grew in popularity, Taya’s new exciting venture Taya Kitchen Culinary School opened in 2016. She shares her passion for food in her popular weekly Asian cooking classes with adults and kids, after all, cooking up an exotic feast is an experience to share with others.
