Class Ingredients

  • Sauces– Anchovy sauce, fish sauce, soy sauce, hoi sin sauce shrimp sauce, oyster sauce,
  • Spices – Cassia bark, star anise
  • Fresh spices – chilli, ginger, garlic, kaffir lime leaf,  lemongrass, shallot, pandan
  • Herbs– Betel leaf, mint, rice paddy herb, elephant ear stalk, sawtooth coriander, shiso, Thai basil, Vietnamese mint
  • Vegetable and Fruit– Banana blossom, green mango, green papaya, morning glory
  • Meat and Seafood– chicken, beef, pork belly, duck, shrimp
  • Dry Goods and Starch– glass noodles, fried shallot, rice paper, rice stick noodles, thin egg noodles

Cost: $160 per person
Class Style: This is a full hands-on, 3.5 hours experience on your own private bench with your cooking partner. You’ll be creating every dish on the menu. No cooking in large groups and missing out on the fun.
We run exclusively small classes of no more than 10 guests, offering a personal, fun and memorable experience for all.

What can I say, Chef Taya is amazing ! I just did the Vietnamese cooking class and it was so special! I loved her vibe in the kitchen and how she interacted with everyone. I have done other cooking classes and this has been the best ! I loved the small size of the class, it meant you got the time you needed & help with anything & got to ask questions. Chef Taya is so fun and makes cooking a breeze with her instructive way. Can I just say the vibe of the whole space is amazing !!! The table set up, the drinks you get to choose, the generosity of the portions and there was enough for left overs too Couldn’t recommend it enough !!!

I purchased a cooking class with Taya as a present for my girlfriend and was thrilled by my decision. Taya is funny and relaxed as well as professional and organised. She gives you the space to make the dishes yourself whilst also giving you all the support you need. The food we made was delicious and large enough that we enjoyed the leftovers for lunch the next day. I highly recommend this experience. Thanks Taya.

Walked in the first time and had a great experience. Taya has a beautiful kitchen and is absolutely welcoming and patient. She was completely prepared, knew what she was doing and even as far as to inform us of different products to buy and use beyond just cooking. Definitely recommend 🙂

A fantastic evening. Taya was fun and full of information. I loved all the dishes in the ‘Dumpling Party’ we made. Highly recommended and will be back again My new favourite cooking classes !

Booking Conditions

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking you will need to email chef@tayakitchen.com.au You must do this at least 7 days before your class to cancel or reschedule. We are sorry that we cannot refund or rebook any cancellations made online or in-person after this time.
  • In the event that you are unwell, we ask that you send someone in your place. The participants who are not unwell will still be expected to attend.
  • Lateness: please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of the class. We cannot accommodate or refund those who arrive after the scheduled start time, even if you call ahead. The instructor will be expected to start on time and will not be able to repeat the health and safety and/or demonstrations at the beginning of the class.
